In what's becoming a fun summer tradition, the kids and I headed down to Houston to visit Persis and Adrienne.
First stop: Persis and Olivia. Matt was out of town, so Persis and I enjoyed some girl time alone with the kiddos.
Olivia was an absolute doll with Grace.
It was amazing to see the difference in interest of a baby between a three-year-old boy and an almost three-year-old girl. Don't get me wrong, Palmer loves his sister.
However, he does not have the level of attention to detail that Olivia had. Olivia was careful to watch all of Grace's baby activities and practiced on her own baby dolls.
The three kiddos:
Persis went to London recently for work and brought back these sweet matching dresses for the girls.
I was the lucky recipient of a makeover from Olivia:
Thanks for hosting us, Dean ladies. We had so much fun.
Next stop: Adrienne and Matt's. I'm so thrilled to have them back from the Middle East and in their proper place of Texas (although please note I would prefer the city of Dallas).
We went to an afternoon Astros game to see my friend's husband pitch.
Palmer was very excited about the game and especially loved the hot dogs and ice cream (as did his mama).
Since we have a book about Curious George visiting a baseball game, Palmer thought it was important for George to attend as well.

Check out Adrienne's baby whisperer moves. She got Grace down for an afternoon nap amidst the ball game:
It was so good to get to know Adrienne's fiance, Matt, better. He was brilliant with the kids and Palmer told me later that he thought Mr. Matt was "very cool". Rick and I can't wait to celebrate their South African wedding in a few months.
Welcome back to Texas and thanks for letting our crazy two kids invade your space!-Bethany
