Rain or shine (2018's fall theme), we powered thru Halloween with a bang.
We had one cheerleader ("for the pink team") and one Millennium Falcon, after debating between a Thomas Jefferson costume and a more traditional Star Wars character.
Palmer enjoyed working with Grampi to create his costume masterpiece and I am grateful that there are family members who can help fulfill Palmer's complicated costume dreams because I have many talents, but that isn't one of them!
Grace was very proud to prance around for anyone and show people her cheers.
Imagine Grace's delight when we went to a HP High School football game and our family friend, the captain of the cheerleaders, put Grace on a REAL football field with REAL cheerleaders.
I loved bringing back my mom's college Girl Scout uniform for the DAC fall festival...
Pumpkin painting...
We loved hosting our longtime playgroup friends for yet another costume party free-for-all.
Grace's class party with her precious "witch's brew" drink...
Trick or treating with friends in the drizzle is better than trick or treating in pouring down rain. Just trying to find some optimism here...
And finally, the haul. Rick was a VERY INVOLVED parent for this large production of candy sorting.
Luckily, the kids opted to sell most of their candy and left the local dentist's office with $29.25 for their loot.

Cute treats by Pink Slip Gourmet:
Pumpkin "carving" fun.
As per usual for these last few months, the actual day of Halloween was filled with rain. Palmer's school was supposed to have an outdoor costume parade, but opted for an indoor parade and sing-along instead.
