January Brrrr...

Baby, it's cold outside and thank goodness we are back in our house and not in the apartment but... we are ready to go outside and play!!

Life as it is lately from the inside of our home.

Dollhouse time for the little lady.

Palmer and I had a special date one day.  He is still obsessed with space and couldn't wait to see the new space exhibit at the Perot.

However, he fell in love with the engineering hall and has asked several times since we went if we can go again.  He could spend many hours lost in there making robots and machines.
We followed up with a pizza/spaghetti date over a good game of Battleship.

This girl.  I just can't even... Grace is super into dressing up these days.  She loves costumes, jewelry, purses, the works.  She also hates wearing pants and doesn't know why I insist in the winter.

Thank you, Savannah Guthrie for trying to help me with the pants issue...
Life lessons from dad...
Palmer has been in a portable building all year at school due to overcrowding.  This month, Palmer got to move into a brand new wing that opened at his school.  He was so excited to see the new digs.

In light of today's current political and cultural climate, I thought it was important to make Palmer realize who MLK, Jr. was and why MLK Day is important for reflection.  I tasked Palmer with coming up with a MLK Day craft.  He decided to model the great minister out of clay.
Meanwhile, Grace is more focused on her first toenail painting (eye roll...)
Off to the bitter tundra...
