Thanksgiving

It's December 3rd and I already have loads of Christmas photos to share, but first things first...here's a quick Thanksgiving recap:
With all of our family in town, we split the day between the two grandmas.

As is tradition, we bundled up put our shorts on and got ahead of the calorie count with a 5k turkey trot.  The weather has been unseasonably warm so far this winter.
My cousin's son Carter pushed Palmer for most of the race:
Palmer had had enough stroller captivity around the first kilometer and quickly kicked off his shoes and told us he wanted "OUT!" for the remaining four kilometers.
My cousin Kalee and our kids.  Little Hailey was the sweet flower girl in our wedding and loved entertaining Palmer for the morning.
Six-year-old Carter also celebrated his birthday on Thanksgiving (and shares a birthday with my brother Luke who had to stay home and study up for his pending law school finals).
Then over the highway and thru the woods to the other grandmother's house we went to eat dinner:
Palmer loved spending time with his cousin Elle at the kids table.
And when they weren't fighting over the same toy,
they shared lots of giggles and Nana's lap.
Palmer was also especially good at conning people into reading the same book over and over and over.  He worked the room hard for a certain Elmo book.
We have lots of love to share and be thankful for each and every day.
