Thanksgiving

We went down to Austin for a Thomas family Thanksgiving.  Post surgeries for Charlie, everyone was anxious to see the little guy again while their parents hosted us in Austin.   Thankfully, as of now, Charlie is holding steady, healing, and his cysts have not filled back up.
We continued our family tradition of a morning Turkey Trot, this one in scenic downtown Austin.
Rick got peer-pressured into the 5 mile run, while I took "one for the team" and had the children for Palmer's first 1 mile run.
I was so proud of Palmer.  He ran the entire way and even sprinted to the finish line at the end.
Rick has been nursing a foot injury "due to excessive stress" since his run.  Meanwhile, Grace chilled like a baller in her stroller while yelling at me to "go faster, Mommy!"
We spent the next two days eating our hearts out and enjoying the gorgeous weather in some nearby parks.
Charlie was enamored by Palmer on Thanksgiving and Palmer was totally tickled about the scenario. Palmer kept telling me, "Charlie really loves me!"
The guys went shooting.  I have no words for Palmer's get up...

On the road back to Dallas... (We picked up a straggler!)
All of that pie calls for some extra Camp Gladiator!
We spent the rest of the weekend with friends.  The Cordell family came down to Texas for the SMU-Navy game.  It was fun to see the kids interact and we look forward to spending the week with this wonderful family in Nantucket next summer!  Palmer and Jack spent a good part of the morning geeking out over math problems...they are two peas in a pod! ha.

Grace's gal pal back at home...
And it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  We are looking forward to a fun month, especially with Aunt Samantha here for an extended visit!
